The Sahne Stüberl is tucked away in an idyllic spot between Zwieselstein and Gurgl – the place to go for Ötztal flavours with a twist, a warm welcome from hosts Raffaele and Ludwig, and a rustic atmosphere that even city folks can’t resist. Whether by foot, bike or car – the Sahne Stüberl is easy to reach via scenic hiking trails from Zwieselstein or Gurgl.

The Sahne Stüberl is open daily from June to October, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed on Tuesdays). On the menu: classic Ötztal hut favourites, sweet treats, and daily changing specials. This charming alpine hut with its large sun terrace and playground is reachable by foot in about an hour from Zwieselstein or Gurgl – or by bike or hiking shuttle. Travelling to or from the Timmelsjoch? Then the Sahne Stüberl is the perfect place to stop, refuel and relax.

Cosy culinary evenings in the mountains. Something truly special.
From November to April, the Stüberl hosts a series of culinary theme nights, several times a week. Things kick off each season with a traditional Törggelen feast, celebrating autumn with hearty meat platters, fried pastries and more. The winter programme ranges from rustic pork knuckle nights and the legendary Schälfelar evening to multi-course gourmet dinners. Don’t forget to book a table.
